What is Grid bucky factor in x-ray.
It is the ratio of the incident rays falling on the grid to the transmitted rays passing through the grid. High grid ratio absorb more scattered radiation and have large bucky factor. The higher the bucky factor, the higher the exposure factor so the greater the patient radiation dose but better the radiography image. The bucky factor is the ratio of exposure time with Potter Bucky grid to non Bucky film exposure.
