Guidelines of ICRP (The International Commission on Radiological Protection).

The International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) provides a range of guidelines on radiological protection that are based on the latest scientific and technical knowledge. The guidelines of ICRP  are following :-

A) The assessment and management of radiation risks:-The assessment and management of radiation risks can cover the  guidelines on how to estimate the risk of cancer and other radiation-induced diseases based on exposure to ionizing radiation.

B) The design and operation of radiation facilities:- The design and operation radiation facilities can cover the  guidelines on how to design and operate radiation facilities in a safe and responsible manner, taking into account factors such as the type of radiation being used and the potential risks to workers and the public.

C) The handling and disposal of radioactive materials:- The handling and disposal of radioactivity materials can cover the  guidelines on how to safely handle and dispose of radioactive materials, including the use of protective equipment and the management of radioactive waste.

E) Medical exposure:- Medical exposure can cover the guidelines on how to minimize radiation exposure during medical procedures, including the use of imaging techniques such as X-rays and CT scans.

F) Occupational exposure:- Occupational exposure can cover the guidelines on how to minimize radiation exposure to workers in occupational settings, including the use of personal protective equipment and the implementation of safety procedures.
